"I... I'm staying overnight...?" I stammered. This was NOT happening.
"Of course! You don't think we were going to leave you at home alone when you'd just had a concussion, did you? You'll be safe with us, don't look so worried," replied DongHae, putting on a cute face. I nearly melted. My heart was hammering in my chest. Spend the night with Super Junior. My concussion had turned into a god send.
DongHae opened the door and led me inside. The living room itself was huge but I guess it had to be to be able to accommodate 13 grown boys. Now though, the house quiet. DongHae made me sit on the couch while he went to get a drink for me.
I felt really pampered, but since I was actually being taken care of by Lee DongHae, I didn't really mind. My heart was still beating, but it was slowing down now that I had gotten over the shock.
"Hey DongHae, I'm going to go out for a while," announced Siwon unexpectedly. "Going to find the hyungs and get some stuff. Do you mind?"
DongHae came out of the kitchen, carrying a glass of water. "Sure Siwon, I don't mind. I mean, I've got company now so that's fine." He grinned at me, and my heart immediatly went back to maximum beating.
"Okay. Have fun you guys," said Siwon with a laugh. "Take care of her DongHae." He picked up the keys and left, closing the door behind him.
I was alone with DongHae.
In all my wildest dreams, I never imagined that this one would come true.
But there he was, standing in front of me. A silence had settled over us, but it wasn't an awkward silence. A small smile crossed his lips. "Do you want to call your parents?" he suddenly asked. I said it was fine, they were only expecting me to call at night, just before I went to sleep. "How about using the computer then? You can put my email address into your contact list."
"Umm, ok," I replied. I was feeling a bit nervous, but his face put me at ease. He obviously didn't feel awkward with me around, and I told myself to relax.
When he returned, he had a laptop in his hand. "We have a computer but it's shared between all of us, so I think it's safer to use mine," he explained, handing it to me and walking back to his bedroom.
Was it just some coincedence that he had the exact same laptop as me?
I traced my fingers over the familiar keys, smiling inwardly at the fact that he had touched these keys as well. As the laptop loaded, I saw that his desktop background was one of Super Junior. I smiled as I spotted his smiling face among the others.
I heard a door close, and turned around. DongHae walked up to me and glanced at the laptop. "I guess you figured out how to turn it on, huh? The guys find it hard to, don't know why. I mean, yea, it's not a very common laptop, but still."
"Oh, it's exactly the same as my laptop, so of course I know how to turn it on," I said before I could stop myself.
"Wow, hey, what a coincedence, huh?" he said, but I could see that he seemed a bit pleased. He hopped on to the couch and sat next to me. "It's a pretty cool computer, isn't it?" he asked, leaning against me to look at it. "I managed to get it pretty cheap."
His arm was pressing against mine and his hair was tickling my cheek from his leaning position, and my heart started hammering away again. He turned to me. "Does your heart usually beat this hard this much?" he asked.
Once again, I blushed.
He opened the internet browser for me, and I logged into my email account. "Nice email address," he said, grinning.
"It's kind of immature, I made it when I was about 12," I explained. By then I was feeling a bit giddy from our physical closeness.
"No, it's ok, I kinda like it," he remarked. "Kind of cute, in fact."
I made a silent promise to myself to never change my email address.
"Personally I don't like going on to the internet, but you can teach me some stuff, won't you?" confided DongHae. I turned to him. He looked into my eyes, and I found it hard to look away.
"Who are they?" I asked, turning back to the screen and pointing at his background.
"They're Super Junior, of course! That's the guys!" he replied happily. Was he happy that I had no idea of who he was? "Look, there I am, and there's Siwon and Eunhyuk, and these are RyeoWook, KiBum, LeeTeuk, SungMin, ShinDong, KangIn, HeeChul, HanKyung, YeSung and KyuHyun. You'll meet them all later, we're a bunch of fun."
"I'll try to remember them all," I said. "I think I'm alright with names, but I hope they won't beat me up or anything for forgetting."
That made him laugh. "If they even try, I'll protect you. Hey, want to see a game that I always play? SungMinnie introduced it to me, and now I can't get enough."
We placed the laptop on my left leg and his right leg, so we were both sharing it. I didn't mind being squashed up between him and the sofa. It was pretty comfortable.
The game he showed me as so adorable! It was like a children's game! I won't say what it was exactly (because I didn't really know the name as well) but I'll just say that it had rabbits, turtles and trampolines.
The game was cute, but DongHae was even cuter playing it. I watched him play it, but I was also watching his facial expressions. He made a lot of cute faces, and when he lost, he hit the keyboard. I found it extremely cute. When he let me play it, he cheered when I won and pouted when I lost. I pouted too, and we both started laughing.
All of a sudden, he glanced at my face and turned a bit red. I stopped laughing too. Did I just make Lee DongHae blush? We stared at each other, not moving, very still. The game music was still on, and that was the only sound in the flat.
DongHae didn't say a word. He just kept staring. I swear I saw him move his head closer, just a little.
We were so intense that we didn't even hear the key turn in the lock.
The door burst open.
